The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, officially launched the 90-Day Mangan Para Alasig Feeding Program for Nutritionally At-Risk Pregnant Women, July 28, in Barangay Menzi as part of its continuing commitment to the First 1,000 Days (F1KD) Program. The initiative recognizes that good nutrition during pregnancy and the first two years of a child’s life is vital for healthy growth, development, and the prevention of malnutrition.
The activity was graced by City Councilor Al-Ameen Camlian and Menzi Punong Barangay Nelson Aguinid, who reaffirmed their support for programs that promote the health and well-being of mothers and children.
Led by CPMDO/CNAO Jesielyn Puno, the program provides daily nutritious meals for 90 days to nutritionally at-risk pregnant women, helping improve maternal nutrition and giving every child the best possible start in life.

During the launching, beneficiaries received one nutritious meal and were provided with a lunch box, spoon and fork for daily use throughout the program. They also received multivitamins and Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food (RUSF) to further support their nutritional needs during pregnancy.
Through the Mangan Para Alasig Program, the City Government, together with barangay officials, health workers, and nutrition partners, continues to invest in the health of mothers and children, ensuring that every family has the opportunity to build a healthier future from the very beginning.
