The event was attended by Punong Barangays from among the city’s 45 barangays, along with representatives from partner agencies and other stakeholders.

‎One of the highlights of the event was the graduation of the 25 participants of Batch 5 of the Nutrition School On Air (NSOA). Margie Miguel Sotto was recognized as the Top 1 graduate for her outstanding performance. All graduates received five kilograms of rice and tokens of appreciation in recognition of their commitment to promoting nutrition education in their respective communities.

‎The activity also recognized the dedication of the city’s Barangay Nutrition Scholars during the Monitoring and Evaluation of the Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol. Norlita B. Alberto of Barangay Tabuk was named the 2026 Outstanding Barangay Nutrition Scholar and received a cash prize, a plaque of recognition, and a token of appreciation for her exemplary service. Meanwhile, Barangay Binuangan was awarded the Highest Budget for Nutrition Program in recognition of its strong commitment to supporting nutrition initiatives.

‎Plaques of appreciation were likewise presented to partner agencies in recognition of their invaluable support and contribution to the successful implementation of the city’s Nutrition Month activities.

‎Representatives from the National Nutrition Council Region IX, including Nutrition Officer III Elton Pelegrino, joined the celebration, and expressed support for the city’s nutrition initiatives. Also present and reaffirmed the council’s continued support for local nutrition programs was City Councilor Asan Al-Ameen Camlian, chairperson of the SP Committee on Health, Sanitation, and Nutrition.

‎As part of the program, Health Education and Promotion Officer Bernardita Hontucan of the City Health Office delivered a presentation on Pinggang Pinoy, reinforcing the importance of balanced nutrition and healthy eating habits among participants.

‎The culminating activity served not only as a celebration of the city’s accomplishments during Nutrition Month but also as a recognition of the collective efforts of barangays, partner agencies, and nutrition advocates in promoting better health and nutrition. Through these continuing initiatives, the City Government of Isabela reaffirms its commitment to building healthier, more resilient, and well-nourished communities for all.
