Pinangunahan ni Punong Lungsod Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman ang pagpapasinaya ng mga solar streetlamps, Hunyo 10, sa Barangay Kumalarang. Sinamahan siya ni CGSO Eugene Strong, mga kawani ng Tanggapan ng Inhenyeriya at ni Kumalarang Punong Barangay Julwarid Said.
Nagkakahalaga ng P1,633,758.21 ang nasabing proyekto na pinondohan ng 20% Development Fund ng pamahalaang lokal. Inaasahang makatutulong ito na pahusayin ang kaligtasan at seguridad ng mga residente at mga pahinante, at mag-ambag sa pangkalahatang pag-unlad ng Barangay Kumalarang.
