Strengthening community infrastructure and creating more inclusive public spaces, the City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, formally turned over the newly constructed covered court in Barangay Eastside on July 1, 2026.
Mayor Turabin-Hataman personally led the turnover ceremony of the project, which was implemented under the city’s 20% Development Fund at a total cost of P3,994,832.03. Also present during the ceremony were Vice Mayor Ar-Jhemar Ajibon and Eastside Punong Barangay Maria Shriley Diaz, who joined in the turnover and expressed their support for the project.
The new covered court provides residents with a safe, accessible, and multi-purpose venue for sports, recreational activities, community gatherings, and other public events, fostering stronger community engagement and promoting a healthier, more active lifestyle.
