Demonstrating a strong commitment to infrastructure development and community progress, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman formally turned over the newly concreted Baluno to Latuan Road on January 31. This project, funded under the 20% Development Fund with a total cost of P6,994,834.59, is a significant step toward enhancing mobility, improving road conditions, and supporting economic growth by ensuring better connectivity between communities.
The completion of the Baluno to Latuan Road is expected to reduce travel time, provide a safer and more efficient route for motorists, and facilitate smoother transportation of goods and services. It is also seen as a key infrastructure improvement that will benefit local businesses, farmers, and daily commuters, ultimately contributing to the overall economic and social development of the city.
During the turnover ceremony, Mayor Turabin-Hataman emphasized the importance of investing in road infrastructure as a means of fostering progress, ensuring public safety, and improving accessibility in rural and urban areas alike. She reaffirmed the local government’s commitment to sustainable development, highlighting that well-planned infrastructure projects play a crucial role in uplifting the lives of residents and driving long-term economic opportunities.
Present were Councilor James Abner Rodriguez, Bimbo Epping, and Ar-Jhemar Ajibon, as well as Baluno Punong Barangay Nathaniel Rabina, Lukbuton Punong Barangay Jashim Tiplani, Menzi Barangay Kagawad Marilyn Aguinid, and Alexes Ututalum Infante.
