SALATUL EID’L FITR UNITES MUSLIM UMMAH IN ISABELA CITY

In a display of unity and faith, the Salatul Eid’l Fitr was held at the Isabela City Grandstand, March 31.
The Monday morning light drizzle did little to dampen the spirits of worshippers as the event brought together community members of all ages, underscoring the importance of fellowship and gratitude as the holy month of Ramadan drew to a close.
Despite the intermittent drizzling rain, attendees arrived in large numbers, dressed in their finest prayer attire, to mark the end of Ramadan with prayers and reflection.
The prayer session commenced with a traditional recitation of the Takbir, resonating across the grandstand and symbolizing the shared sense of joy and relief after a month of fasting. Dr. Aboulkhair Tarason of Basilan Supreme Ulama Council served as the Imam who led the prayer and offered inspiring sermons that highlighted themes of gratitude and the universal values of respect, compassion and understanding.
Following the prayer, the atmosphere remained lively as families and friends gathered to share refreshments and traditional treats courtesy of the City Government of Isabela. Additionally, free photobooths were installed within the grandstand by the city government to capture cherished family memories.
Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman together with Basilan Lone District Representative Mujiv Hataman and their children also joined the assembly.
The successful celebration of Eid’l Fitr in Isabela City is a testament to the resilience and unity of its people. As the community looks forward to future gatherings and the continuation of cherished traditions, this event stands as a reminder that faith and togetherness can shine through even the rainiest of days.
