REGULAR MONDAY FLAG-RAISING CEREMONY

In line with the celebration of the 2026 National Women’s Month, the regular Monday flag-raising ceremony was held on March 9 at the Isabela City Hall Grounds, hosted by the City Human Resource Management Office (CHRMO) headed by HRMO Rose Luna.
This year’s observance carries the sub-theme “Lead Like the Babaylans, Filipinas!”, which honors the legacy of pre-colonial women leaders known as Babaylans, recognized for their wisdom, compassion, and strong leadership in guiding their communities. The ceremony highlighted the important role of women in leadership, governance, and nation-building, reflecting the city’s support for gender equality and women empowerment.
In observance of the Revised Dress Code under Civil Service Commission (CSC) Memorandum Circular No. 16, s. 2024, government officials and employees wore ASEAN-inspired attire influenced by the traditional garments of ASEAN member states, including the Philippines. The attire symbolized cultural pride, unity, and regional solidarity among Southeast Asian nations.
Adding to the significance of the ceremony, a Women’s Month trivia segment was conducted to raise awareness on women’s history and achievements. Winners of the activity were awarded prizes by HRMO Rose Luna together with City Administrator Pedrito Eisma, encouraging participation and appreciation of women’s contributions in society.
Through activities such as the Women’s Month-themed flag-raising ceremony, the City Government of Isabela continues to reaffirm its commitment to promoting gender equality, women empowerment, and recognition of women’s vital role in community development and public service.
