PANGALAWANG BATCH NG MGA BARANGAY KAGAWAD, NAKIISA SA GOGO ISABELA CARAVAN

Umabot sa 100 na mga aktibong kalahok ng ikalawang batch ng Barangay Kagawads mula sa 23 na malalayong barangay ang dumalo sa GoGo (Good Governance) Isabela Training Caravan nitong ika-2 ng Setyembre, na naganap sa Pasangen Commercial Complex (PCC).
Ang pagsasanay ay pinangunahan ng mga aktibong GoGo volunteer speakers na sina Margarita Auxtero, Project Coordinator mula sa Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) Basilan, at tinalakay ang unang sesyon na sumasaklaw sa tungkulin at responsibilidad ng mga namumuno mula pambansa pababa sa barangay.
Samantala, ipinaliwanag naman ni Barbette Jane Baclay, Community Health Developer at Project Coordinator mula sa Global Missions Project kung saan galing ang pondo ng pamahalaang lokal at detalyadong ibinahagi kung saan ito nahahati-hati para maisagawa ang mga proyekto at programa sa lungsod.
Ilan sa mga natutunan at naging komento ng iilang mga Barangay Kagawads ay ang sumusunod:
“Masaya ako dahil dito sa GoGo Caravan, may karapatan kaming malaman kung saan napupunta ang pondo ng aming barangay.”
“Ang natutunan po namin ay may transparency na. Pinakita po ninyo (speakers) sa amin kanina ang pondo ng Isabela at kung saan ito napupunta. Meron talagang detalye kung saan ito napupunta. Dapat, kailangan nating makialam, makilahok, makibahagi, at maki-‘marites’ at iapply ito bilang mga Barangay Kagawads.”
“Akala ko noon, hindi na aangat ang Isabela City. Pero ngayon, masaya na tayo sa pag-angat ng syudad ng Isabela City dahil natatanggap na natin yung mga benepisyo na binibigay ng City. Yung mga pagpapaayos sa mga daanan at mga tulong sa ating PWDs, naipapaabot na.”
“Noon, lubak-lubak ang mga daanan, sa Kapatagan Grande, ang mga ani ng magsasaka ay hindi agad-agad nadadala sa lungsod dahil kulang sa transpo dahil madulas ang daanan, minsan, hindi talaga madaanan. Ngayon, dahil sa mga nasa itaas, sementado na. Madali nang puntahan ng mga transpo ang iba’t ibang mga malalayong barangay sa Isabela. Ang natutunan namin sa GoGo seminar ay dapat maging good leader, maging best example sa komunidad, at maging accountable at transparent sa usaping budget.”
Matatandaan na ang GoGo (Good Governance) Isabela Caravan ay rumonda na sa 45 na barangays, 3 Eskwela Caravans, at nagsagawa ng GoGo Pasada sa mga aktibidad ng LGU, target ang iba’t ibang mga sektor na naglalayong ibahagi ang kaalaman kung paano palakasin ang karapatan ng bawat Isabeleño na maningil sa kaban ng bayan, ano ang tungkulin at responsibilidad ng mga nakaupong opisyal, magkano ang pondo ng lokal na pamahalaan, at papaano pumili ng maayos at mabuting lider upang makamit ang daan tungo sa mabuting pamamahala.
Naging posible ang GoGo Isabela Training Caravan sa suporta ng mga Punong Barangays, koordinasyon at tulong ng mga Barangay Information Officers (BIO), at ang dedikasyon ng boluntaryong grupo ng mga aktibong GoGo secretariats at documenter. (Sulat ni S. Angging, CIO/Kuha ni A. Puti, IsaTV)
