The City Population Management and Development Office (CPMDO) headed by CPMDO/CNAO Jesielyn Puno, conducted an awarding activity, January 29, at Marang-Marang Barangay, recognizing outstanding Gardenators, highlighting the importance of urban gardening and nutrition, particularly among mothers and families.
The Top 3 Gardenators received cash prizes amounting to P3,000 for 1st place, P2,000 for 2nd place, and P1,000 for 3rd place, while selected participants were given P200 consolation prizes in recognition of their efforts and participation. In addition to the awarding, beneficiaries also received iron supplements, multivitamins, and free height and weight monitoring for children.
In the same vein, a short discussion on Family Planning and the importance of the Gardenator program—especially for mothers—was also facilitated during the activity. CPMDO officers and staff present included CNPC RND Nujaima Abdurahman, Nasra Mohammad, Jaiyson Salvador, and Charlemagne Camatcho.
The team likewise conducted a short lecture for 4Ps members in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), emphasizing health, nutrition, and family well-being as part of the City’s continuing population and development initiatives.
