OCD IX INSPECTS DRRM FACILITIES TO ENSURE ISABELA CITY’S DISASTER PREPAREDNESS

Office of Civil Defense IX Regional Director Ramon Ochotorena met with Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman and Basilan Lone District Representative Mujiv Hataman, June 28, to discuss the monitoring and inspection of the ongoing construction of the evacuation center project in the city.

The inspection is in line with the mandate to ensure the availability of established safe evacuation centers for emergencies and disasters, with Director Ochotorena serving as the Chair of the RDRRMC.

Also present during the meeting were Asst. CDRRMO Jaime Juanito Rivera and other personnel from the City Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office. DSWD Undersecretary Fatima Aliah Dimaporo was also present during the meet. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
