June 26, 2025 | Monitoring and Evaluation of Local Level Plan Implementation Protocol for Results-Oriented (MELLPI PRO) – City Nutrition Action Officer (CNAO) and City Nutrition Program Coordinator (CNPC) Categories
The Regional Nutrition Evaluation Team (RNET) conducted a comprehensive MELLPI PRO assessment for the CNAO and CNPC categories on June 26, 2025, at Sakayan Hall, City Hall Complex, Isabela City, Basilan. Ms. Jesielyn O. Puno (CNAO) and Ms. Nujaima S. Abdurahman (CNPC) underwent a rigorous evaluation to assess the implementation of the city’s nutrition-related programs, projects, and activities, ensuring alignment with MELLPI PRO standards and guidelines.
Through MELLPI PRO, the ZamPen RNET members monitored key indicators, including:
• Nutrition program planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
• Resource mobilization and utilization
• other Nutrition-related Service delivery and coverage
• Community participation and engagement
• Nutrition impact
The assessment aimed to:
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition programs and services
• Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations
• Enhance nutrition governance and service delivery at the local level
• Inform policy and program decisions
Preliminary results indicate a positive performance, demonstrating the city’s strong commitment to improving nutrition outcomes. While the final results will still undergo deliberation at the regional level, the initial findings are promising and reflect the dedication and hard work of the City Nutrition Action Officer and the City Nutrition Program Coordinator. The RNET’s findings will help strengthen the city’s nutrition program, ensuring it remains responsive to community needs and aligned with national nutrition goals.
