MAYOR DADAH SUPPORTS CCI’S “CAJA DE ESPERANZA” HUMANITARIAN DRIVE

Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman welcomed the representatives from Claret College of Isabela (CCI), December 1, to present and discuss the institution’s upcoming humanitarian initiative, “Caja de Esperanza,” a fund-raising program aimed at supporting communities affected by recent natural calamities across the country.
Robert Carbayas, together with Glofel Solamillo and Ethel Joy Diaz, represented CCI in the courtesy visit. The team formally relayed the school’s intent to conduct a city-wide collection activity on December 5, in partnership with the Catholic Educational Association of the Philippines (CEAP), of which CCI is an active member.
During the meeting, the CCI representatives emphasized the urgent need to help families who have suffered severe losses due to typhoons, floods, earthquakes, and other calamities. They shared that while Isabela City has been spared from these recent disasters, many Filipinos in other regions continue to struggle with the loss of homes, livelihoods, and even loved ones.
The “Caja de Esperanza” initiative aims to gather financial support that will be forwarded to CEAP’s official disaster relief program. CEAP, through its National Disaster Response Team, will ensure that the assistance reaches the poorest and most affected communities across the country. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
