MAYOR DADAH SHARED AN IFTAR WITH THE RESIDENTS OF BARANGAY LUKBUTUN

Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman shared an iftar meal with the residents of Barangay Lukbuton on March 18, strengthening community bonds and highlighting the City Government’s support and respect for local traditions during the holy month of Ramadan.
Earlier that day, the City Government, under Mayor Turabin-Hataman’s leadership and through the City Agriculture Office headed by City Agriculturist Maria Gina Alberto, successfully conducted the Free Banca Registration Caravan in the same barangay. The initiative, themed “Pangingisda’y Paunlarin. Karagata’y Payamanin,” aimed to formalize banca registrations and deliver livelihood assistance to the city’s fisherfolk.
The City Agriculture Office facilitated the registration of 105 bancas from eight coastal barangays, resulting in the distribution of P77,250.00 worth of subsidies. This program underscores the City Government’s efforts to empower local fisherfolk and strengthen the fishing industry as a key economic driver in Isabela City.
