MAYOR DADAH LEADS ISABELA CITY IN CELEBRATING 125 YEARS OF CIVIL SERVICE WITH RECOGNITION AND CAMARADERIE

The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, culminated the celebration of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary (PCSA) with a festive and meaningful awarding ceremony that gathered city officials and employees in a night of recognition, unity, and celebration of excellence on October 2 at the Isabela City Civic and Cultural Center.
The program formally opened with preliminaries, followed by welcome remarks from Councilor Jashim Tiplani, Sangguniang Panlungsod member and Committee Chair on Labor and Employment, who underscored the value of camaraderie, discipline, and active participation in the workplace.
Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman delivered an inspirational message, commending the dedication of city employees not only in their work but also in activities that foster unity, wellness, and community spirit. She encouraged everyone to continue embodying the values of integrity, service, and innovation as they contribute to the growth and progress of Isabela City.
The 3rd Open House Contest and People’s Choice Award also added fun and energy to the celebration, highlighting creativity and employee engagement. The City Engineering Office claimed the top spot in the Open House Contest, while the City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office won the People’s Choice Award.
The evening festivities concluded with raffle draws that brought added excitement to the employees. Minor prizes were first distributed, followed by cash prizes courtesy of the Isabela City Employees Association (ICEA). City councilors also raffled off P1,000 each, while Vice Mayor Ar-Jhemar Ajibon awarded P2,000 to five lucky employees. To cap off the night, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman personally raffled P5,000 each to five employees. Together with Queenie Padilla, the Mayor also led the awarding of grand prizes, which included P20,000 won by Hermina Omar courtesy of ICEA and a motorcycle won by Jeniber Jornie.
Through the HAPIsabela and Sports Festival, the City Government of Isabela once again highlighted its commitment to nurturing a motivated and empowered workforce, recognizing both individual excellence and collective achievement as the heart of public service. (Words by SJ Asakil, CIO)
