MAYOR DADAH HEADLINES ALS COMPLETION RITES

In a ceremony held at the ICEPS Multipurpose Hall on July 25, the Department of Education – Isabela City Division marked the Alternative Learning System (ALS) Graduation and Completion Rites for School Year 2024–2025, anchored on the theme, “Henerasyon ng Pagkakaisa: Kaagapay sa Bagong Pilipinas.”
The event saw a total of 143 completers, with 18 graduates at the elementary level and 125 at the junior high school level, representing various districts in Isabela City. These figures reflect the continuing success of the ALS program in providing access to quality education for learners outside the traditional school system.
Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, who graced the event as guest speaker, praised the graduates for their resilience and determination in overcoming life’s challenges to pursue their education. In her message, she emphasized the collective responsibility of the community in supporting every learner, saying, “Sana ipagpatuloy niyo pa. It takes a village to raise a child, at tayo po ang village ng educational system ng Isabela. We are raising a strong, developed, happy, and dignified life for all.”
Mayor Turabin-Hataman also assured the continued support of the City Government in promoting inclusive learning opportunities through programs that uplift the marginalized and underserved.
Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ma. Laarni Villanueva, likewise addressed the graduates, highlighting the significance of unity and partnership in building a better Philippines. She encouraged the completers to embrace their roles as future leaders and changemakers in their communities. (Words by J. Atilano, LEDIPO/Photos by K. Sencio, ISATV)
