In a celebration of faith as expressed in art, the Provincial Government of Basilan led by Governor Mujiv Hataman officially launched the “Masaajid of the World: Miniature Masjid” exhibit on February 26 at the Basilan Government Center. The event marks a dual celebration of the province’s 52nd Founding Anniversary and the observance of the holy month of Ramadhan. Part of the month-long Tennun Pakaradjaan sa Ramadhan: BASILANatin 2026, the initiative is anchored on the theme: “Weaving Faith, Unity, and Service for the People of Basilan.”
The launch culminated in a competitive unveiling and judging where the top honors were awarded to the Bangsamoro Commission on Human Rights (BCHR) – Basilan, which took home the 1st prize of P300,000, followed by the Provincial Engineer’s Office in 2nd place with P250,000, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (RDO 94) in 3rd place with P200,000. Special recognition was also given to MBHTE Basilan for Best in Narrative and Storytelling and LGU-Isabela City for Best in Cultural Representation.
