IN KEEPING WITH TRANSPARENCY, LGU-ISABELA CITY ‘PEOPLE’S BUDGET’ CONSULTATIONS ANEW

The City Budget Office led the People’s Budget Consultation on October 15, 2025, at JB Dans Hall, gathering 45 Punong Barangays and Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) representatives. This initiative promotes transparency and accountability by presenting the Annual Budget allocation and updates on projects and programs requested during last year’s People’s Budget.
Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman emphasized the importance of community participation in budgeting, ensuring that every initiative aligns with the city’s needs and priorities. She underscored that strengthening trust between the local government and its constituents will lead to openness, collaboration, and shared responsibility.
Other officials present included City Administrator Peter Eisma, Vice Mayor Ar-jhemar Ajibon, Robert Arseña from City Social Welfare and Development, and Engr. Gay Palagtiosa from City Planning and Development Office. The facilitators were Budget Officers Jo Ida Almazan and Salman Hassan.
The event aimed to uphold the principles of good governance, inclusive decision-making, and participatory government.
