LGU-ISABELA CITY TO HEED CALL FOR RBIM BASELINE CENSUS IMPLEMENTATION

The Commission on Population and Development (CPD) IX, in collaboration with the City Government of Isabela through its City Population Management and Development Office headed by CPMDO/CNAO Jesielyn Puno, conducted an orientation on the establishment of a Local Migration Database at the barangay level through the Registry of Barangay Inhabitants and Migrants (RBIM), June 2.
With technical assistance from CPD IX, the initiative aims to develop an accurate and comprehensive database of residents and migrants at the barangay level—an essential tool for local planning, service delivery, and policy development.
City Administrator Pedrito Eisma, representing Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of data-driven governance in achieving inclusive development and responsive local programs.
CPD IX Regional Information Management Analyst Jayson Salvador led the technical discussions and orientation, highlighting the critical role of accurate population records in addressing community needs and guiding government interventions.
The RBIM Baseline Census is seen as a foundational step toward improved demographic profiling and more effectively targeted services for all Isabeleños. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
