LGU-ISABELA CITY TO ENSURE HEALTH, SANITATION IN 2026 ZPRAA MEET HOSTING

The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, convened the 2nd ZPRAA Joint Committee Meeting on Medical, Health, and Safety Protocol, Cleanliness, and Sanitation on October 21 to further prepare for its hosting of the 2026 Zamboanga Peninsula Regional Athletic Association (ZPRAA) Meet. The meeting was presided over by Councilor Al-Asan Ameen Camilian, chair of the SP Committee on Health and Sanitation.
The meeting gathered key offices and partner agencies, including the Philippine Coast Guard, Basilan Medical Center, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, Department of Education SDO-Isabela City, Philippine Red Cross–Basilan Chapter, City Engineering Office, City General Services Office, and City Health Office.
Discussions focused on safety requirements for delegates’ arrival, parade arrangements, and task distribution among committees. Further coordination was set to finalize on-site health facilities, medical supplies, and equipment needs to ensure a safe and organized conduct of the regional athletic event.
With the city’s strong inter-agency coordination and early preparations, Isabela City reaffirms its readiness and commitment to successfully host the 2026 ZPRAA Meet—showcasing unity, discipline, and excellence both on and off the field. (Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
