The City Government of Isabela, in collaboration with the Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA), continues to push forward sustainable aquaculture and coastal resource management efforts through a strategic tripartite partnership.
Representatives from MinDA, led by DMO II Khristian Kier Alberto, alongside DMO Rogelio Visitation and Mark Kevin Rustique, met with Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman on April 3 to discuss the progress and future plans of the initiative.
As part of these efforts, an assessment for the proposed Aquaculture Park is scheduled for June, aiming to enhance the city’s fisheries sector with sustainable and science-based strategies. This will be followed by an evaluation of coastal resource management initiatives in July, ensuring the protection and sustainable use of marine resources.
The discussions also explored potential activities for both the eastern and western coastal areas, ensuring balanced and inclusive development for Isabela City’s marine communities.
