LGU-ISABELA CITY CELEBRATES 2025 LIS MONTH, UNVEILS NEW FOI KIOSK

In observance of Library and Information Services (LIS) Month 2025, the City Information Office (CIO) led the regular Monday flag raising ceremony on November 17. The activity was headed by City Information Officer and concurrent Gender and Development (GAD) Focal Person Mendry Ann Lim.
The program began with the singing of the Philippine National Anthem and an invocation, followed by the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas led by HML Focal Jham-Jham Kalbi and the Panunumpa ng Lingkod Bayan delivered by Administrative Assistant I Nadzmier Masang. Information Officer III Marion Guerrero then led the recitation of the LGU-Isabela City Quality Policy, followed by the audio-visual presentation of the Isabela City Hymn.
CIO Lim also discussed the rationale behind LIS Month, highlighting the national theme and its relevance to local development. A major highlight of the program was the unveiling of the city’s new Freedom of Information (FOI) Kiosk, led by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma, representing Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, together with CIO Lim and FOI Focal / Information Officer II Shermina Sualing. The FOI Kiosk serves as a walk-in access point for Isabeleños seeking public documents and government information, reinforcing transparency and citizen participation.
The event also featured a special live episode of Barangay nAMIN, produced by the IsaTV Production Team, where city employees joined a question-and-answer elimination round. The winner from OCM-ITSD advanced to the Pera o Kahon segment and received P4,000, while non-winners received IsaTV merchandise items.
