As part of the 2026 Nutrition Month Celebration, the City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, through CPDO/CNAO headed by Jesielyn Puno, conducted a Nutritional Assessment Baseline Activity for Pregnant and Lactating Mothers in Barangay Menzi on July 7.
The activity served as a preparatory step for the upcoming 90-Day Supplemental Feeding Program for Nutritionally At-Risk Pregnant and Lactating Women, which will officially begin on July 28.
Led by City Nutrition Program Coordinator Nujaima Abdurahman and ND Focal Ushyma Jamaaril, with the full support of Menzi Punong Barangay Engr. Nelson Aguinid, BNS Kenneth Baguis, RN Angel Valdez of the DOH-NDP assigned in Barangay Menzi, the Barangay Health Workers, and other barangay officials and staff, the activity successfully identified and assessed qualified beneficiaries for the program.
This initiative reflects the City Government’s continuing commitment to promoting maternal and child nutrition, particularly during the critical First 1,000 Days, and ensuring that quality nutrition services reach those who need them most.
