LARGA SP WITH KONSI ABNER

Marking a meaningful start to their term, the newly elected members of the 17th Sangguniang Panlungsod of Isabela City, under the leadership of Councilor Abner Rodriguez, wasted no time in translating public trust into action. On July 1, they officially began their journey in public service with a heartfelt outreach activity — the distribution of 100 sets of school supplies to the primary level learners of Caro Elementary School.
This simple yet impactful initiative reflects the commitment of our new set of legislators to champion basic education and support the youth — especially in communities where resources are limited, but dreams remain boundless. It also demonstrates the council’s belief that education is the cornerstone of lasting development and the foundation of a progressive city.
This effort is deeply rooted in the visionary leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, whose administration continues to uphold inclusive, people-centered governance. Guided by her advocacy for education, empowerment, and equity, the city government works tirelessly to bridge the gap between communities and opportunities — fostering a culture of serbisyong damang-dahma.
As the 17th SP officially steps into its mandate, this outreach stands not only as their first act of service — but also as a powerful symbol of their readiness to work, willingness to serve, and determination to be instruments of real change. (Words by R. Albani/Photos by A. Puti, IsaTV)
