ISABELA CITY NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL WINS 2026 INTERSCHOOL QUIZABELA

In celebration of the 25th Cityhood Anniversary of Isabela City, the City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, through the City Tourism Office hosted the Quizabela 6.0 Interschool Quiz Bowl, where one school emerged as champion after competing against 13 other high schools.
This year’s Quizabela was participated by 42 high school students from 14 different schools, with each school represented by three contestants. During the opening program, City Tourism Officer Claudio Ramos II delivered his welcome remarks, warmly greeting the participating coaches and students. He emphasized the importance of holding quiz bowl competitions like Quizabela, noting that investing in the youth is essential in shaping a brighter future. The competition followed three rounds: Easy (1 point), Average (2 points), and Difficult (5 points), with 10 questions in each round.
After the Easy and Average rounds, the top three schools advanced to the final round to compete for the championship. These were Calvario Peak National High School, Malamawi National High School, and Isabela City National High School.

The champion will receive P20,000, the second placer P15,000, and the third placer P12,000, each accompanied by a plaque of recognition. Meanwhile, the remaining 11 schools will receive consolation prizes worth P3,000 each, along with certificates of appreciation in recognition of their active participation. The prizes and gift certificates will be awarded during the closing ceremony of Sakayan Festival 2026.
Anchored on the theme “Isabela City at 25: Reflections and Direction,” this academic competition aims to inspire young Isabeleños to appreciate their heritage, showcase world-class talents, and celebrate the rich culture and remarkable identity of Isabela City on both local and global stages.
