ISABELA CITY LCPC, LCAT-VAWC UNDERGO FUNCTIONAL ASSESSMENT

The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman and represented by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma, successfully underwent the Functionality Assessment of the Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) and the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children (LCAT-VAWC) on June 17, held at the SP Session Hall.
The assessment, conducted by the Regional Monitoring Task Force (RMTF) led by DILG IX LGOO VI Lizette Regine Boltiador, aimed to evaluate the structure, operations, and effectiveness of the two local special bodies in fulfilling their mandates of safeguarding children’s rights and protecting women and children from violence and exploitation.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office, headed by Nor Aina Asmara, facilitated the activity, with feedback from the RMTF described as positive and affirming.
Also present from the RMTF were DILG IX DMO April Mae Balasabas, NNC IX PDO Maryrose Yu, RCWC IX PO III Raquel Jumig and PO I Angel Verano, PIA Infocenter Manager Nilda Delos Reyes, CZWD Julpa Hussin, and PNP PRO IX PCPT Lynneth Nacionales.
Local participants included DILG Isabela City FOU LGOO Jaber Jamani, CPDC Gay Palagtiosa, LYDO Levinia Jarejolne and representatives from PNP-ICPS WCPD, DSWD-SWADT Isabela, DepEd SDO-Isabela City, and DOLE ICFO, PESO, CPMDO, CBO, and CHO.
