ISABELA CITY EXPLORES AI-DRIVEN, PEOPLE-CENTERED MOBLITY SOLUTIONS WITH MOBILITYVISION+

In line with its push for smarter, more inclusive urban planning, the City Government of Isabela welcomed MobilityVision+ during a courtesy meeting and technology demonstration held on January 27 at Isabela City Hall.

Led by Founder and CEO Syrus Borja Gomari, together with Co-founder Timothy Joshua Vargas, the team presented SEERMO, an artificial intelligence–driven platform designed to help local governments efficiently collect, process, and analyze urban mobility data.
During the discussion with Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, MobilityVision+ highlighted the need to move away from purely vehicle-oriented traffic management toward people-centered mobility planning—an approach that prioritizes pedestrian safety, public transport efficiency, accessibility, and overall quality of urban life. SEERMO leverages existing CCTV systems and deployable portable cameras to generate real-time, evidence-based insights, enabling cities to make faster and more informed transport and traffic decisions.
Mayor Hataman underscored the importance of data-driven governance in building livable, sustainable, and future-ready cities, noting that intelligent mobility solutions can significantly support local development goals, economic activity, and public safety. The platform’s ability to transform on-the-ground data into actionable planning tools was seen as a potential asset in addressing congestion, improving road use, and designing inclusive transport systems responsive to community needs.
The meeting was attended by City Councilors Al Ameen Asan Camlian and Yusop Abubakar, City Planning and Development Coordinator Gay Palagtiosa, Business Permits and Licensing Office Chief Albert Porticos, LEDIPO Chief Juanito Jaime Rivera, and Youth Development Officer Kenny Villanueva, along with representatives from the City Tourism Office (CTO), City Engineering Office (CEO), City General Services Office (CGSO), and other concerned departments.
The engagement reflects Isabela City’s openness to innovation and partnerships that harness technology to improve urban management. As the city continues to grow, initiatives such as SEERMO signal a forward-looking approach—one that places people at the center of mobility planning while using data and artificial intelligence to guide smarter, safer, and more sustainable city development.
