ISABELA CITY COFFEE GROWERS MEET ANEW, VOW TO STRENGTHEN LOCAL INDUSTRY

The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, through the City Agriculture Office headed by City Agriculturist Maria Gina Alberto, conducted the 2026 Isabela City Coffee Growers Association (ICCGA) Assembly on February 16, bringing together coffee growers from various barangays across the city.
ICCGA President Lee Roy Brown delivered the welcome remarks, highlighting the importance of strengthening the association. Supervising Officer Eugene Strong delivered a brief message encouraging unity and continued cooperation among members.
Mayor Turabin-Hataman, who graced the event, expressed her full support for local coffee farmers, emphasizing the city government’s commitment to agricultural development and expanded economic opportunities for growers.
Agricultural Technologist II and Coffee Coordinator Jonathan Pedillon presented the assembly’s agenda, which included updates on the Registry System for Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBSA), KAPEsabela (2023–2025), SEC and bank registration updates, the PCBI visit to Isabela City—its findings and recommendations, the schedule of activities for 2026, further commitments with GCash and expansion initiatives, and other matters concerning the strengthening and development of the local coffee industry.
