IN PHOTOS; DELEGATES OF THE SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES (GSP)

Fifty delegates of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines (GSP) — from National and Western Mindanao led by National President Dr. Christina Lim Yuson, arrived in Isabela City for the 3rd Regional Committee Meeting (RCM), held from September 2–4. The RCM highlights regional collaboration, youth leadership, and community service across Western Mindanao.
The GSP delegation was warmly received with festive hospitality in Isabela City with the Basilan National High School Band. The delegation was led by National Executive Director Roselyn Davadilla and Dapitan City Mayor & Regional Chairperson Evelyn Uy, and included council presidents, executives, and key officers from Cotabato City, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Marawi City, Maguindanao, Sultan Kudarat, North Cotabato, Sulu, Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Norte, Zamboanga del Sur, and Basilan.
The delegation’s first stop was a courtesy visit to the City Hall, where they received a warm welcome from city officials led by Vice Mayor Ar-jhemar Ajibon together with members of the City Council and City Administrator Pedrito Eisma. The brief visit was followed by a fellowship lunch at the scenic Pahali White Beach Resort in Malamawi Island, graciously hosted by Basilan Board Member Ahmed Djaliv Amin Hataman — giving the guests a taste of Isabela’s renowned hospitality and natural beauty.
The gathering is hosted by the Basilan Girl Scouts Council, chaired by Ruby Anne Yu, with support from the City Government of Isabela through its Gender and Development (GAD) Unit.
By extending support to the Girl Scouts, the City underscores its commitment to nurturing young women as future leaders and active citizens. The GSP’s work on leadership, service, and values formation is aligned with Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman’s vision of inclusive governance and participatory development.
Through such partnerships, organizations like the Girl Scouts are strengthened as vital allies in advancing women and youth empowerment—paving the way for a more resilient and empowered Isabela City. (Photos by K. Evardo, IsaTV)
