In celebration of the 2026 National Intellectual Disability Week, the Isabela Central Elementary Pilot School for Special Needs Education (ICEPS-SNEd) visited Isabela City Hall on February 13 to showcase products developed by learners under its Transition Program.
The activity featured various student-made food products, including a mixed veggie chip, a unique combination of kamote, banana, and malunggay in one pack, prepared by the learners with the assistance of their teachers. Other products offered included mango and chocolate pastillas, and banana chips.
Also joining the activity were City Administrator Pedrito Eisma and Persons with Disability Affairs Focal Gemma Paculio, who expressed her support for initiatives that promote inclusive education and livelihood opportunities for persons with disabilities.
With the theme “Ginintuang Ani ng Pag-ibig Tungo sa Matagumpay at Tunay na Inklusyon,” the celebration aimed to strengthen awareness and understanding of intellectual disabilities while promoting a culture of acceptance, empathy, and equal opportunities for all learners.
The initiative also highlighted the ICEPS Special Needs Classes Canteen known as “Migo’s Refreshment,” which serves as a training ground for learners to develop practical life skills, entrepreneurial abilities, and self-confidence through hands-on experience.
