Congratulations to Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman for being recognized as one of the 2025 awardees of The Outstanding Women in the Nation’s Service (TOWNS) — a prestigious national distinction honoring exceptional Filipinas who have made transformative contributions to Philippine society.
Accompanying Mayor Hataman during the ceremony were Basilan Governor Mujiv S. Hataman and Basilan Board Member Ahmed Djaliv Amin Hataman.
The TOWNS Awarding Ceremony, held on October 22 at Hilton Manila, Newport World Resorts, celebrated 15 outstanding women leaders from diverse fields whose work continues to inspire communities and advance national progress. Conferred every three years by the TOWNS Foundation, Inc., the award honors women who exemplify excellence, leadership, and public service in their respective professions.
Mayor Hataman was recognized for her exemplary work in peacebuilding, courageous governance, and socio-economic development—underscoring her dedication to inclusive and participatory leadership that champions peace, transparency, and empowerment in Isabela City.
As City Mayor, she has led transformative programs promoting education, health, livelihood, and community welfare, all rooted in her vision of building a peaceful, people-centered, and progressive city. She stands as a steadfast advocate of transformative governance and grassroots development.
