Regional Director Riduan Hadjimuddin and Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, led the turnover of a newly constructed one-unit Community Learning Center (CLC) for the Alternative Learning System (ALS) to the IP Badjao community in Barangay Tampalan on July 1.
The community sub-project was made possible through the collaborative efforts of the IP Badjao community, the Barangay Local Government Unit of Tampalan—spearheaded by the Barangay Development Council-Technical Working Group—and the City Government of Isabela, in partnership with the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), under the KALAHI-CIDSS Kapangyarihan at Kaunlaran sa Barangay (KKB) Program.
With a total project cost of P3,100,000.00, the initiative was funded through a KC-KKB grant amounting to P3,005,128, an in-kind contribution of P10,000 from the city government, and a P84,872 counterpart from the Barangay LGU. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
