CONGRATULATIONS

The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, extends its warmest congratulations to the student-journalists of the Schools Division Office of Isabela City for their commendable performance at the 2026 Regional Schools Press Conference, held from March 7–9, in Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.
Led by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Ma. Laarni T. Villanueva, the delegation from SDO Isabela City demonstrated outstanding talent, discipline, and creativity in campus journalism, earning recognition in various individual and group competitions.
Isabela City also placed 5th in the Elementary School Paper-Based Competition, 8th in the Secondary School Paper-Based Competition, and 8th overall in this year’s Regional Schools Press Conference.
Prior to the regional competition, selected RSPC participants also underwent a one-week immersion program at IsaTV, where they received hands-on training in broadcasting and media production. The initiative was supported by the City Government through the City Information Office, as part of the LGU’s continuing efforts to strengthen campus journalism and equip young communicators with practical media skills.
These accomplishments highlight the continued commitment of SDO Isabela City to nurture young writers, broadcasters, and media practitioners who value responsible journalism, critical thinking, and truthful storytelling.
Again, congratulations to all the winners and participants of SDO Isabela City at the 2026 RSPC!
