CITY HEATH OFFICER REPRESENTS ISABELA CITY AT NATIONAL POLICY FORUM ON HEALTH BUDGET AND PHILHEALTH BENEFITS

The City Government of Isabela extends its congratulations to City Health Officer Dr. Mohrein Ismael VI, who served as one of the panelists at the Policy Forum on LGU Health Budget and PhilHealth Supplemental Benefit Design held September 3 at the Makati Shangri-La Hotel.
The forum, organized by the Unilab Center for Public Policy, convened national and local leaders, health professionals, and policymakers to discuss pressing issues on healthcare financing, the design of PhilHealth benefits, and strategies to ensure that health services remain inclusive and accessible to communities across the country.
As a panelist, Dr. Ismael presented insights drawn from Isabela City’s experiences in local health governance and shared best practices on aligning LGU health budgets with the actual needs of communities. His participation reflects the City Government’s continuing commitment to strengthening local health systems through evidence-based policy, resource optimization, and responsive health programs.
Also joining the panel was Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo, alongside other distinguished leaders and experts who contributed to the dialogue on advancing healthcare reforms and local innovations.
Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman commended Dr. Ismael’s active role in the discussion, noting that his contribution highlights Isabela City’s dedication to supporting national health priorities while ensuring that the welfare of every Isabeleño remains at the forefront of local governance.
The City Government of Isabela affirms its commitment to translate the learnings from the forum into strengthened health programs and policies that will further enhance the delivery of services for the people of Isabela City.
