CHO, NAMAHAGI NG BIGAS SA MGA BATANG NAKUMPLETO ANG BAKUNA

Bilang pasasalamat sa lahat ng mga magulang na nakiisa sa kampanya ng pagbabakuna ng Tanggapan ng Kalusugan sa pangunguna ni CHO Dr. Mohrein Ismael VI, namahagi ito ng tig-5 kilo ng bigas sa lahat ng mga batang nakakumpleto ng bakuna, ika-11 ng Setyembre.
Sa nasabing bigayan, nakapaghandog ng bigas sa may 80 bata mula RHU North o mga barangay ng Begang, Busay, Calvario, Small Kapatagan at Sunrise. Nakapagbigay na rin sa 100 bata sa RHU West, at 100 sa RHU East.
Alinsunod sa tagubilin ni Punong Lungsod Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, ang nasabing inisyatiba ay naglalayong hikayatin ang lahat ng bagong-panganak na ina na tiyakin na makukumpleto ng kanilang mga anak ang mga bakunang itinakda ng National Immunization Program (NIP) ng Kagawaran ng Kalusugan (DOH). Bilang pagkilala rin sa kanilang naging kontribusyon, ay binigyan naman ng lifestyle health kit ang mga nurses at midwives na may pinakaraming batang nabakuna nang kumpleto.
Pinanguhan naman ni Dr. Rhufaida Aunal bilang kordineytor ng NIP sa lungsod ang nasabing aktibidad, kasama sina Dr. Nujum Datu Indal, HEPO Bernardita Hontucan at iba pang kawani ng CHO.
Ang pagpapahalagang ito sa pagbabakuna ay hindi na nakakapagtaka. Noong 2023, kinilala ang Lungsod ng Isabela bilang isa mga pamahalaang lokal na nakapagtala ng higit sa 95 porsyento sa pagbabakuna kontra polio sa buong Pilipinas —kaisa-isa sa buong Zamboanga Peninsula.
