CHO LEADS LGU OBSERVANCE OF NATIONAL ORAL HEALTH MONTH IN STA. BARBARA DAYCARE

The City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, participated in the 21st National Oral Health Month celebration through the Dental Health Unit of the City Health Office, led by Dr. Abdulmanar Saliddin, at Sta. Barbara Daycare Center on February 27.
This initiative aims to promote oral health awareness among young children. A total of 81 daycare pupils from Sta. Barbara Daycare Center received oral check-ups, engaged in toothbrush drills, and underwent fluoride varnish application to strengthen their teeth. The program also included the distribution of the Oral Health Family Package to encourage proper dental care at home.
Also present during the event were Health Education and Promotion Officer (HEPO) Bernardita Hontucan and Rural Health Physician Dr. Sulaiman Tahsin, who emphasized the importance of early dental care in preventing oral diseases and ensuring lifelong oral health.
