BLOOD DONATION ACTIVITY

As part of its continuing efforts to strengthen the city’s blood supply and support patients in need of life-saving transfusions, the City Government of Isabela, under the administration of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, through the City Health Office, successfully conducted a blood donation activity on December 16 at the JB Dans Hall.
The activity was carried out by the blood collecting team which was composed of personnel from four member institutions of the Isabela City Blood Council: the City Health Office Blood Program, the Philippine Red Cross–Basilan Chapter, Basilan Medical Center, and Infante Hospital. Through their collective efforts, a total of 30 blood bags were successfully collected from volunteer donors representing various offices of Isabela City Hall.
The blood donation drive aimed to augment the local blood bank and ensure the availability of safe and sufficient blood for emergency cases, surgical procedures, and patients with medical conditions requiring regular transfusions. It also served as a platform to encourage volunteerism and strengthen the community’s collective responsibility in supporting health initiatives.
The City Government of Isabela expressed its gratitude to all individuals who participated in the activity, reaffirming its commitment to sustaining health programs that promote compassion, solidarity, and shared action in saving lives.
