(BUSCFI), led by Chairman Dr. Aboulkhair Tarason, paid a courtesy visit to Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman on July 29 to discuss the establishment of a fully operational Halal Certification Body in Basilan.
During the meeting, Ustadz Alzad Sattar and Chairman Tarason emphasized the importance of creating a certification body that upholds the highest standards of Islamic compliance. They highlighted that this initiative is vital not only in fostering economic growth, consumer trust, and cultural identity, but also in promoting religious harmony and sustainable development in the province.
The council also expressed its commitment to work closely with the city government in developing strategies to make the Basilan Ulama Halal Certifying Bodies fully operational β a move aimed at empowering the Muslim Ummah and supporting Basilanβs broader economic progress.
