The City Government of Isabela under the administration of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, through the City Persons with Disability Affairs Office (CPDAO) headed by Gemma Paculio, in partnership with People Systems Consultancy (PSC), conducted the R.I.S.E. Programme (Basic Course), a two-day Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy Training for PWDs, June 29β30.
The RISE Programme, which stands for Reach Independence and Sustainable Entrepreneurship, is sponsored by the Maybank Foundation and aims to equip PWDs with entrepreneurial and financial management skills to help them achieve economic independence through sustainable livelihood opportunities.
Sessions covered entrepreneurship, financial literacy, business planning, and income-generating opportunities. The training was facilitated by PSC trainers Carl Galvez and Charlot Cachuela, with Jania Michelle Nogoy serving as facilitator. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
