LGU EMPLOYEES ATTEND GRAPHIC DESIGN TRAINING

The City Government of Isabela under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, through the City Tourism Office headed by CTO Claudio Ramos II, officially opened a three-day workshop titled Designing Marketing Campaigns: Applying Basic Graphic Design Principles from April 22 to 24, at the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) in Barangay Port Area.
The training aims to enhance the visual communication and marketing capabilities of participants by equipping them with a comprehensive understanding of graphic design fundamentals. Topics include typography, color theory, imagery, layout, and branding, with a focus on applying these principles in real-world marketing strategies such as banner ads, social media content, and campaigns.
The first day of the program included sessions on Introduction to Graphic Design delivered by guest speaker Earl Bumotad, lead digital marketing strategist of Plan A Digital Marketing. Participants explored basic concepts and design elements essential to creating impactful visuals.
This initiative, led by Mayor Turabin-Hataman, is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to promote local culture, tourism, and creative industries by investing in skill-building programs. The workshop serves as a platform for local creatives to refine their design skills and strengthen the city’s overall marketing presence. (Words by SJ Asakil, CIO/Photos by K. Galano, IsaTV)
