The Public Employment Service Office, headed by PESO Manager Aradelria Belleng through its Microfinance Team conducted Financial Literacy Training for residents of two barangays—on April 4 in Barangay Binuangan with 50 participants, and on April 7 in Barangay Begang with 54 participants.
The training aimed to enhance the participants’ knowledge on managing personal finances, budgeting, saving, and making informed financial decisions. It forms part of the city’s long-term goal to promote economic empowerment among constituents, especially in grassroots communities.
Since its launch in 2019, the program has reached and benefited more than 12,000 individuals across Isabela City. This initiative stands as one of the flagship programs of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, reflecting her administration’s commitment to equipping residents with practical skills that contribute to financial stability and inclusive growth.(Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M.
