CPMDO, DEPED ISABELA CITY PARTNER FOR ADOLESCENT REPRODUCTIVE HEALTH AWARENESS AT CALVARIO PEAK NHS

The City Government of Isabela under the administration of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman through its City Population Management and Development Office (CPMDO), led by CPMDO/CNAO Jesielyn Puno, spearheaded a comprehensive health and wellness initiative at Calvario Peak National High School, April 3, focusing on adolescent well-being and development.
In collaboration with the Department of Education (DepEd) Isabela City Division, the team conducted the provision of folic acid to female adolescent students, ensuring young women receive essential nutrients for their health. Additionally, a thorough Assessment of the School-Based Teen Center was carried out, which included height and weight measurements to monitor students’ growth and overall health status.
To further support the school’s Teen Center, CPMDO turned over one unit of a detector scale for accurate health monitoring and board games to encourage interactive learning and engagement among students.
This initiative underscores the city’s commitment to youth development, health promotion, and collaborative efforts between local government and educational institutions to create a more nurturing environment for young learners. (Words by SJ Asakil, CIO/Photos by KJ Evardo, IsaTV)
