FIRST CDC MEETING FOR 2025 TACKLES REHAB OF CITY INFIRMARY

The City Development Council (CDC), chaired by Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman and presided over by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma, convened on March 18 to tackle key infrastructure initiatives aimed at enhancing Isabela City’s healthcare facilities.
During the session, City Information Officer and GAD Focal Mendry-Ann Lim led a discussion on the GAD Agenda for CY 2025-2030, outlining key strategies and programs aimed at promoting gender equality and women empowerment in the city. She emphasized the importance of integrating gender-responsive policies into local governance and ensuring sustained support for gender and development initiatives.
At the same time, CIO Lim also discussed the upcoming activities for the 2025 National Women’s Month Celebration, highlighting various events and programs designed to celebrate and recognize the contributions of women in different sectors. These activities aim to raise awareness, strengthen advocacy efforts, and further promote gender inclusivity in the community.
Also discussed were the Local Shelter Program Action Plan CY 2024-2026 and the realignment of funds for the previously proposed project, “DOH TB Microscopy Lab and Cold Chain Storage at Ground Floor Infirmary Building Rehabilitated and Extended to Second Floor as Mental Wellness Conference Phase II,” originally allocated with a total budget of P4,000,000 under the CY 2025 20% Development Fund.
Under the approved realignment, the project will now be divided into two specific undertakings. The first is the “DOH TB Microscopy Lab and Cold Chain Storage at Ground Floor Infirmary Building Rehabilitated and Extended to Second Floor as Mental Wellness Conference Phase II” at Barangay Sunrise with a revised P1,000,000 budget. The second component is the “Rehabilitation of the 3rd Floor and Roof Deck at the Infirmary Building (City Health Office) at Barangay Sunrise,” which will receive P3,000,000 in funding.
