ISABELA CITY CAMPUS SCRIBES OFF TO SEE ACTION IN RSPC 2025

Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman led the send-off ceremony for the participants of the 2025 Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC), which is set to take place in Zamboanga City from March 5 to 7. The event gathered young campus journalists, their mentors, and education officials as they prepared to represent Isabela City in this competition.
Demonstrating her unwavering support for the delegation, Mayor Turabin-Hataman provided each participant with an additional P500 as pabaon to assist with their travel and personal expenses during the conference. She emphasized the importance of journalism in empowering students and fostering a culture of truth and responsible reporting.
The Isabela City delegation consists of a total of 261 participants, including 176 campus journalists, 78 school paper advisers, coaches, and chaperones, as well as 7 Department of Education (DepEd) officials. The mayor encouraged the participants to showcase their talents, uphold ethical journalism, and bring pride to the city through their outstanding performance. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M.
