YOUR CITY GOVERNMENT AT WORK

With a steadfast commitment to enhancing basic services and addressing the needs of local communities, Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman officially turned over the newly constructed deep well with a concrete water tank at the Evacuation Center in Barangay Baluno on January 31.
This vital infrastructure project, funded under the 20% Development Fund with a total cost of P797,690.88, is designed to provide a sustainable and reliable water source for evacuees, emergency responders, and nearby residents. Access to clean and sufficient water is essential for maintaining hygiene, sanitation, and overall well-being, especially in times of natural disasters or emergencies when evacuation centers serve as temporary shelters for displaced families.
During the turnover ceremony, Mayor Turabin-Hataman emphasized the importance of investing in essential infrastructure that directly benefits communities, particularly in ensuring that evacuation centers are well-equipped to support those in need during crises. She highlighted how this project aligns with the city’s long-term development agenda, reinforcing disaster preparedness and resilience in Isabela City. (Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
