CPDAO JOINS THE SIXTH SESSION OF SAKAYAN-KAALAMAN 4.0

The City Persons with Disability Affairs Office (CPDAO) took part in the sixth session of Sakayan-Kaalaman 4.0, held on September 1, at Westside Elementary School. The program is an initiative of the City Government of Isabela, under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, and is brought to life through the City Information Office (CIO), headed by Mendry-Ann Lim.

The session was hosted by Westside Elementary School, led by its Principal, Nurrahma Abubakar, and facilitated by Mobile Library Focal Person Jham-Jham Kalbi, in partnership with the Local Youth Development Office (LYDO), headed by Levinia Jarejolne.

Joining the session was the CPDAO, led by Gemma Paculio, who emphasized the importance of promoting respect, inclusion, and understanding toward persons with disabilities, particularly in preventing bullying. The participants were also introduced to various basic sign language gestures, encouraging them to communicate more inclusively and respectfully with the deaf and hard-of-hearing community.

Through meaningful learning sessions like this, Sakayan-Kaalaman 4.0 continues to foster awareness, compassion, inclusivity, and respect among young learners.
