CPMDO/CNAO LAUNCHES 120-DAY “MANGAN PARA SA ALASIG” FEEDING PROGRAM IN KAUMPURNAH

As part of the City’s continuing commitment to improve the nutritional status of children, the City Government of Isabela under the leadership of Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, through the City Nutrition Affairs Office led by CPMDO/CNAO Jesielyn Puno officially launched the 120-Day “Mangan Para Alasig” Feeding Program for identified undernourished children aged 6–59 months from Kaumpurnah Zones II and III, July 27.

The beneficiaries were served a nutritious hot meal during the opening activity, marking the start of the 120-day feeding intervention. To support the daily implementation of the program, each child also received a lunch box, spoon and fork, which will be used throughout the feeding period. Multivitamins were likewise distributed to help promote the children’s overall health and well-being.

Lending support to the initiative was Councilor Asan Al-Ameen Camlian, chair of the SP committee on health, sanitation, and nutrition, who highlighted its impact in lowering incidences of stunting and malnutrition in Isabela City.

The “Mangan Para Alasig” Feeding Program is one of the City’s key nutrition initiatives aimed at addressing undernutrition among young children and ensuring that they receive proper nourishment during their crucial growing years.

Through sustained nutrition interventions and the collective efforts of the City Government and its partners, Isabela City continues to work toward building healthier and stronger communities—one child at a time. (Contributed Report)
