MAYOR DADAH GRACES SPARK CULMINATING ACTIVITY

City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman joined the SPARK Culminating Activity on July 23 at the DICT Basilan Provincial Office, celebrating the successful completion of the SPARK Program Technical Training on General Virtual Assistance 2.0 by aspiring virtual assistants from Isabela City.

Implemented by the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Basilan Provincial Office, headed by Provincial Officer Michael Jolo, in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office, led by PESO Manager Aradelria Belleng, the program provided participants with essential digital skills for freelancing and virtual assistance through a 10-day face-to-face training, facilitated by Training Resource Person Engr. Jed Inovejas, followed by a 10-day online campaign.

In her message, Mayor Turabin-Hataman congratulated the graduates on their dedication and encouraged them to maximize their newly acquired skills in pursuing employment and income-generating opportunities in the digital economy. She also reaffirmed the City Government’s commitment to promoting digital literacy, expanding employment opportunities, and empowering Isabeleños through technology-driven skills development.

The SPARK Program continues to strengthen the partnership between DICT Basilan and PESO Isabela City in preparing a future-ready workforce and creating pathways for sustainable livelihoods in the digital age. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
