STRENGTHENING TRANSPARENT AND FAIR PROPERTY VALUATION THROUGH PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Pursuant to Republic Act No. 12001, otherwise known as the Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA), the City Government of Isabela City, through the City Assessor’s Office headed by Vido Yu, conducted a Public Consultation and Hearing on the Proposed 2027 Schedule of Market Values (SMV) of Real Properties on May 26 at JB Dans Hall.
The activity aimed to provide stakeholders, property owners, and concerned sectors with an overview of the proposed Schedule of Market Values and to gather comments, recommendations, and insights to ensure transparency and public participation in the valuation process. The proposed Schedule of Market Values shall serve as the basis for the 2027 General Revision of Real Property Assessments and Classification in accordance with the provisions of the Local Government Code and applicable valuation standards under the RPVARA.
Present during the activity were Committee Chair on Landed Estate, Housing, Zoning, and Land Use, Councilor Asan Al-Ameen Camlian; Councilor James Abner Rodriguez; and City Legal Officer Rosebell Sanson, among others. Representatives from various sectors, real property owners, and other stakeholders also attended the consultation and actively participated in the discussions regarding the proposed revisions and valuation adjustments.
The City Government reaffirmed its commitment to implementing a fair, transparent, and updated real property valuation system that reflects prevailing market conditions and supports effective local governance and revenue generation.
