NOVA JADE SANSON CROWNED AS 2026 SAKAYAN SINGING IDOL

The much-awaited Grand Final Showdown of Voces Isabela: The Search for the Sakayan Singing Idol 2026 brought the stage alive with thrilling performances and fierce competition.
Set against the backdrop of the 25th Charter Anniversary of Isabela City and the 2026 Sakayan Festival, the event was nothing short of spectacular. On April 26, the Isabela City Grandstand was transformed into a celebration of music, local talent, and the spirit of community, drawing an excited crowd for a night full of incredible entertainment.
The first round kicked off with the Top 7 finalists taking center stage. Each finalist performed a fresh and unique song, different from their previous performances, with their own minus-one track, delivering a captivating 5-minute performance.
As the night unfolded, the Top 3 finalists—Airodale Paragas, Nova Jade Sanson, and Mark Anthony Abon—brought their A-game in Round 2, the Final Medley Battle Showdown. In this thrilling round, the finalists performed a medley of two or more songs, blending them seamlessly into a 6 to 8-minute masterpiece that showcased their versatility and creativity. Their electrifying performances had the crowd on their feet, captivated by their ability to tell a story through music while keeping the energy high throughout their medleys.
After an exhilarating battle, Airodale Paragas claimed 3rd place and was awarded P7,000.00, while Mark Anthony Abon took home 2nd place with a P10,000 prize. The champion was none other than Nova Jade Sanson, who wowed the judges and audience alike with her unparalleled vocal ability and stage presence. Sanson walked away with a grand prize of P12,000, an SM Gift Certificate, and a well-deserved plaque of recognition.
The winners were awarded by City Administrator Pedrito Eisma, representing Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman, and City IPMR Panglima Jamalul Habibun.
The Grand Final Showdown was not only a display of exceptional talent but also a true celebration of Isabela City’s commitment to promoting the arts and culture. (Words by SJ Asakil/Photos by M. Santos, CIO)
