IN MEET WITH GLOBE EXECS, MAYOR DADAH BATS FOR CITY’S DIGITAL TRANSFORMATION

Isabela City Mayor Sitti Djalia Turabin-Hataman met with officials of Globe Telecom, Inc. on February 24, following an invitation from Globe President and CEO Carl Cruz.
The meeting served as a strategic discussion on strengthening digital infrastructure in Isabela City and exploring potential areas of collaboration aligned with the City Government’s digital transformation agenda.
During the visit, Globe officials presented their network infrastructure plans and shared innovations aimed at improving connectivity, expanding broadband access, and enhancing digital solutions for local government operations. Discussions also focused on how improved telecommunications infrastructure can support economic growth, streamline public service delivery, and expand access to online education, e-governance platforms, and digital livelihood opportunities.
Mayor Turabin-Hataman emphasized the importance of reliable and inclusive connectivity in advancing transparent governance, disaster responsiveness, business competitiveness, and community empowerment in Isabela City.
The meeting reflects the City Government’s continuing efforts to strengthen partnerships with private sector leaders to ensure that Isabela City remains adaptive, future-ready, and responsive to the evolving digital landscape.
Further coordination between Globe Telecom and the City Government is expected as both parties explore concrete next steps toward enhancing connectivity and accelerating inclusive digital development in Isabela City. (Contributed Photos)
